Electronic dance music is produced for the purposes of use within a nightclub or other dance based entertainment. The music has largely been created by – and for – disc jockeys, often evolving with every time it is used. The DJ is the central, live element of the music applying his own style and blends to the dance and electronic sounds he plays to his audience. Dance music is very popular and amongst the biggest MP3 download and CD sales today. Electronic music is created by means of electronic instruments like synthesizers, drum machines and sequencers, and uses its ability to emphasize the individual sounds of the instruments used. It is part of the Dance music but there is non electronic dance music as well.
